Welcome to Cornerstone Day Camp! We are entering our 2nd season of camp in 2010. Our summer theme is Let's Get Connected. We are a newly accredited day camp and serve campers in rising grades K-6th. We also offer a leadership program called LEADS for selected youth in rising grades 7th-11th.

Our campus is located in Ocala on Lake Weir Avenue and is within walking distance to Brick City Park. Our campus has many trees, a basketball court, playground equipment, garden area, and sheter from the rain. We are a day camp that focuses on building relationships and spending time outdoors.
Our specialized camp activities include Archery and Tree Climbing. These activities are offered two times each session. Other weekly activities offered once each session include Fort Building, Hiking, Nature, Beans Galore (Gardening), Wild Science, Amazing Art, Animal Tracking, Basketball, Great Dig (Archeology & Gold Panning), Lego Play, Sports & Games, Camper Choice, Creative Cooking and Tribes (Teambuilding). Campers participate in these activities during every weekly themed session they attend.

We enjoy eating lunch outdoors and participate in a weekly cookout on Wednesday where campers select the menu and prepare the food each week. Each camp session in 2010 we focus on a different weekly theme (June 14-18 Olympic Games, June 21-25 African Safari, June 28-July 2 Gold Rush, July 6-9 T-F Space Voyage, July 12-16 Luck of the Irish, June 19-23 County Fair, July 26-30 Mexican Fiesta). We incorporate our weekly themes into amazing art, various other activities, and our Wacky Wednesday all camp activities which includes an afternoon of water sprinkler fun.

Come ready to sing, laugh, and play. All registered campers will receive a complimentary Cornerstone Day Camp T-Shirt this summer.

Our day camp staff spend a week in training prior to the start of day camp. The staff are trained as Archery Instructors and have certifications in CPR & First Aid. Our director has training and experience leading Tree Climbing and staff assist. We have two groups of campers most sessions (Adventure K-2nd, Horizon 3rd-6th). Each group will be led by two staff members with approximately 12 campers and a LEAD. Our total camp capacity per session is 25 children. Our camp staff members consist of teachers, college students and high school students.

LEADS are placed in a camper group and assist the counselors. LEADS are campers who participate in camp activities. LEADS help plan Wacky Wednesday LEAD activity, discuss and display leadership skills, and gain valuable camp experience. See registration form for application process.
