The Ocala Derby Party

Hosted at The Sociagro Equestrian Center
6730 SE 22nd Ave Ocala, Fl 34480
Saturday May 5th

For our last fundraiser of the year we decided to go with a relaxing evening, at a beautiful farm, enjoying cocktails, tapas, and mingling with friends. The Ocala Derby Party is meant to be a refreshing evening where parents and friends can come enjoy themselves. Fundraising events such as this help to ensure that our school receives the support it needs to continue to serve our children at the highest level of excellence. Please bring your friends and family, as we gather together to help support our beloved Cornerstone School.

The event is taking place at the Sociagro Equestrian Center which is just south of Ocala on HWY 441. Follow the signs down SE 22nd Avenue until you pull right into the back of the Equestrian Center, and park in the first paddock. As you come through the main entrance you will be greeted by a red carpet and grand entrance hedge wall. Just inside, there will be the registration table where you can purchase your food wrist bands ($20), and register for the Best Hat Competition ($10 entry fee).

Starting at 3PM live music will be playing, the Silent Auction will be open, and gourmet tapas & cocktails will be served. The bar will have a selection of beer and wine, and a new spin on a signature drink “The Blueberry Mint Julep” as well as a “Classic Margarita” in honor of Cinco de Mayo.

Before the race coverage begins, we will be having a live painting performance by “Speed Painter” Alejandro Ruiz. His works of art will be up for auction later in the evening. Additionally, at our Silent Auction, we will have a multitude of baskets (including a rare wine collection, a fabulous Parent’s Night Out, a Bourbon lover’s basket, and many more), Kentucky Derby memorabilia, and great local services and activities. We are also excited to introduce the Wine Pull! For a $20 donation to the school, you will win a bottle of wine, with values ranging upwards of $200!

After the sure-to-be entertaining Best Hat Competition, the coverage of the 144th running of the Kentucky Derby will begin. We will be showing the race on multiple TV screens at the event. Immediately following the conclusion of the race, and as people are celebrating the victor, we will begin our Grand Finale performance. The hosting farm, Sociagro, will have a parade of their prized Paso Fino horses and riders do their mesmerizing dance performance for all to enjoy.

All of the funds raised will be used to directly benefit The Cornerstone School and its’ students. This will definitely be an evening to remember, and will be hard to forget with our professional Photo Booth making sure everyone goes home with a keep sake photo. I can not wait to see everyone out there, as we have a wonderful evening mingling with friends and enjoying “The Greatest Two Minutes in Sports”.
