The weekly news!

We made it!!  This is the last week of school.  This will also be your last newsletter.

Square-off on Monday!

This year we are encouraging our parents to come out and have a little fun of their own while supporting your child(ren) and their Tribe!  Come participate, and show your TRIBE PRIDE by wearing a shirt that is the same color as your child's Tribe.  Looking forward to seeing many parents there to enjoy this fun field day with your child(ren)!!

A few things to note that have changed:

1.   We will NOT be using water bottles - we will have water stations behind each Tribe line and these will be staffed.

2. Students are to place their trash in the trash bags provided prior to leaving the water station.

3. The "after-party" hamburgers and hot dogs will be served at the school.

4. The grades will be all return to the school by Tribe (same way they came over)

5. Once at the school, the grades will be called independently to line up to receive their meal.

STEM Request

  • From time to time the need for Lego blocks begins to exceed the supply on hand in our STEM Learning Lab.  If there are any members of our Cornerstone community that have excess Legos or perhaps your student has stopped playing with them...The Cornerstone School STEM program would be happy to give them (Lego blocks) a new home.

  • If any of our students are out-growing their use of their EV3 robot The Cornerstone STEM program would be happy to negotiate a purchase of these robots.  As our program continues to grow the need for robots increases.

As the Cornerstone School continues to lead the county in STEM education there are always programs that will be added and programs to be improved upon.  This summer we will be hosting our very first international STEM Camp.

On July 17 we will be welcoming 15 French Middle School students to our campus.  They will be involved in a two week STEM education program that will allow them to experience STEM education "American style".  They will take science based field trips, learn to assemble and program robots, engineer with CAD design software, etc.  All of this will be done as an English language immersion experience.

As part of this two week stay the students will be hosted by our very own Cornerstone families..  While we have already placed several of these students we are still looking for host families for many others. If you are interested in hosting a French student...or two...between July 17 and July 29 please contact Mr. Moe ( and let him know of your interest.   If you might be interested but need some more information before making a final decision. feel free to contact Mr. Moe.

Host families do receive financial support for hosting the students to offset routine expenses.  This stipend is paid in cash to the host families.
