The Weekly News!

I hope everyone had a nice week!  The temperature is warming up and it's almost beach weather. What's going on in Cornerstone?

Girl Scout Cookies

We will be selling Girl Scout cookies during car line Tuesday, Feb 28th and Tuesday, March 7th. We will also host our final Girl Scout booth during Arts Under the Stars Thursday, March 9th 2017.  The cookies are $4/box.  We have a "5 for 5 deal"-- for every 5 boxes of cookies purchased you'll receive an entry to win a whole case of your favorite cookie!  You may also donate boxes of cookies that our girls will then hand deliver to Interfaith and the VA Hospital next month!

Registration Reminder

Please return registration packets to school by Monday, February 27, 2017.

If you are planning on registering a sibling please let Ms. Lucy know so we can include them in the class count or proceed with a visit day.

As a school that is focused on educating students for the increasingly 21st world in which they will participate, it is imperative that we actively seek ways to develop a global curriculum. We have a partnership with the Mercy Christian Academy in San Juan Pueblo, Honduras. One of our staff members is our ambassador. She visited the school three years ago to establish relations between the two schools. The students exchanged letters, cards, and other child created gifts. Our teachers shared ideas and materials with the teachers in Honduras. We will continue with our efforts to create a global relationship.

We wanted to let you know that we will have some visitors on campus from our sister school in Honduras. The directors (husband- Fito and wife- Sol) and 7 students (3rd grader, 2- 5th graders, 6th grader, 8th grader, and 2- 9th graders) will be with us on Monday, February 27th. We are looking forward to sharing our Cornerstone community with them.

Cornerstone Yearbook 2016-2017

If you are interested in an ad or a sponsorship, all information and money must be turned in by February 28, 2017!

BUSINESS OWNERS:  If you or someone you know owns or operates a business, the Cornerstone yearbook is a spectacular place to advertise and show support for the school at the same time!

PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS, FRIENDS, and FAMILY:  Yearbook advertisements are not just good for businesses!  They are also a great way to show your support for your child and the school.  In the past, parents have bought ad space and designed it with pictures, words of love and wisdom, and more.  Yearbook ads are also a special way of recognizing your graduating 8th or 5th grader!

The rates are as follows:

Full page - $200.00      Half Page - $110.00     Quarter Page - $ 60.00     Business Card - $ 35.00

Make checks payable to Cornerstone School and in the Memo area of the check, please designate “yearbook ad.”  Submit your check with your ad to the Business Office.

Families may now sponsor any page in the yearbook.  To do so, email Mrs. Giles and specify which page you would like to sponsor.  (i.e. – the chili cookoff page, the 7th grade candid page, etc.) Sponsorships are available on a first come, first served basis.  If there is a specific page you want to sponsor, EMAIL MRS. GILES FIRST and submit your payment to the business office in order to secure your page.

EXAMPLE:  A sponsorship will read:  This page sponsored by the Smith Family or This page sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. Jones and will be located at the bottom of the page.

The cost of sponsoring a page is $100.00.

Thank you in advance for your support in making this the best yearbook ever! If you have any questions, email Mrs. Giles at
