You can now register for the Cornerstone School Summer Camp. The themes this year are as follows:
- Robots and Rockets (June 5-9)
Come join us for our Robots and Rockets Academy! We will be exploring different types of rockets such as water rockets, air rockets, solid rockets, WeDo kits, EV3 robots and more! The week will culminate in a 1000 foot rocket launch extravaganza.
- Creative Chemistry (June 12-16)
Put on your lab coat and get ready for some chemistry… dry ice experiments and exploring density are some of the activities you will be involved in this week! The week will cap off with a homemade fireworks trail that you won’t want to miss.
- Construction Junction (June 19-23)
It's time to build! What are we building? Forts, Spaghetti Towers, Cardboard Boats and PVC Kayaks, and Marshmallow shooters are some of the items will be tackling this week. Bring your hard hats as we prepare to roll up our sleeves!
- Hit the Trail (June 26-30)
It's time to get outside and explore nature! We will be going on nature walks as well as exploring the world around us. This week we will be looking at bugs and plants! Leaf presses, Knot tying, Geo-coaching, Shelter building, and a Recycling Challenge are some of the other items we will be looking at this week.
- Funky Food (July 10-14)
Let's use science to create some funky food! Which chemical ingredients are involved in baking? What can we substitute to make new creations? We will be harvesting our vegetables from our planted garden this week. Bring your chef's hat and apron as we explore the world of FOOD!
- Body Wars (July 17-21)
Learn the science of exercise (heart rate, blood pressure, and muscles), dental care, physical care, first aid and more. We will be working with Paper Mache bones and even have a visit with a real doctor!

Quote of the Week:
“I hated every minute of training, but I said, 'Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.”
I just wanted to thank everyone for a wonderful three years. Sadly, this will be my last newsletter as I have decided to take a job opportunity with a national chain. The Cornerstone School has treated me like family since the moment I arrived and I'm going to miss everyone. This is an amazing place and even bigger things are in store for the future. I wish everyone nothing but the best.
