ROBOTICS & ROBOTICS TOURNAMENTS

At The Cornerstone School, robotics is synonymous with STEM education. Our STEM program strives to provide a full-scale robotics experience for all ages and abilities.  The robotics program is deployed through a variety of opportunities.

In the classroom

Fourth and Fifth Grade students participates in the FIRST LEGO League competitive robotics programs. Teams formed during STEM class compete in multi-team robotics tournaments.
 

AFTER SCHOOL

Fourth - Eighth Grade students are offered twice per week after-school robotics opportunities. These students form competitive teams in the FIRST LEGO League and FIRST Technical Challenge organizations. At the end of the season these teams compete in multi-team robotics tournaments. Kindergarten - Third Grade students participate in the FIRST LEGO League Junior robotics program. These students form their own teams and investigate STEM concepts using LEGO products. 

 

 

 

Robotics Tournaments

The Cornerstone School is the undisputed leader in providing competitive robotics tournaments in Marion County.  

ROBOPALOOZA is the largest and most enduring robotics tournament in NE Florida (11 years).  This tournament host over thirty FIRST LEGO League and FIRST LEGO League Junior teams.

 

The CORNERSTONE CLASSIC is an annual practice tournament for FIRST LEGO League teams in NE Florida.  The purpose of this tournament is to provide new robotics teams with experienced judging, coaching and tournament preparation.

 

ROBOFEST is an annual robotics tournament that is part of the Cornerstone School Outreach effort.  This tournament provides a competitive robotics opportunity for any and all robots teams in Marion County free of charge.
